As we celebrate the first quarter of the 21st century, we welcome the 2025 functions with another successful Get-Together at the Royal Military College Sergeants’ Mess, Duntroon. There were more than 25 TELSTECHs, and guests, in attendance. Guests are always welcome.

This GT followed on from the Perth and Werribee GTs held in the previous two years. The cost for the function to the association was less than $400. This cost was more than covered by the membership fees acquired on the night and on-line. Plus, monies donated and gained by stubby wrap sales.

Many TELSTECHs came out of hiding to attend. For several TTs, it was their initial attendance. People like Pepe, Sam, Craig, Devo, John, etc. Several TTs came from interstate. WA, Qld, Vic and NSW. Such as Al White, Hoppy, Bob Arthurs, Kiwi, Ricey, and myself. If I have missed anyone, I do apologise. The full list is on our Facebook page at TELSTECH FaceBook.

I must mention that everyone should have at least a DVA White Card. If you’ve spent ONE day in uniform, you are considered a Veteran.

There will be a TELSTECHs Catch-Up on Sat, 03 May 25, 1400 hrs, at the Cannington Districts RSL. See the website for details or contact me. This year’s TELSTECH Re-Union will be at the Paddo Tavern, on Friday, 30th May 25. The evening before Djinnang Communicators. The operating criteria will be the same as the last several Re-Unions. No up front charge and you just pay as you go.

In conclusion, it was very heartening to see everyone catching up and reminiscing about old times. I would like to again pass on our thanks to everyone that attended. Stay safe and strong, my friends; and I hope we will all meet again.
