- 2022 TELSTECH Reunion Report -

The Paddo Tavern
Brisbane
Fri, 27 May 22

In my opinion, the 2022 Reunion was a raging success. There were approximately 30 in attendance and we managed to enjoy over $600 in drinks. There was also a very strong TELSTECH presence at the Communicators' Reunion on the following arvo/evening. A great addition to your weekend in Brisbane. I teamed up with a fellow from my No 1049 Recruit Training Course (Feb 1970).

Unfortunately, Neil Hunter has decided to step down from his role as the founder of the TELSTECHs Association. Over several decades he has led our group magnificently. I have been coerced into trying to emulate his masterful management. Along with Neil Miller, Wayne Morris, Tony Reeve, and Ian McKee, we hope to continue in his footsteps.

Several members attended with guests. Guests are always welcome.

Here is the list of attendees:

A number of whom paid there membership fees (hint/hint).

Photos were taken (see below) and they will appear on the web-site as they come to hand. So if you took any, contact Kiwi or myself at Photos for a link where you can upload unlimited pics and they will be posted on this site.

I hope to be in WA later this year and intend to hold a get-together there. Staffo is currently doing some research on a venue. More details to come. At this stage, next year's Reunion will be at the same venue, The Paddo Tavern on Friday, 26 May 23. The criteria will be the same as the last several Reunions; No charge you pay as you go.

In conclusion, I would like to once again pass on many thanks to Neil Hunter from us all. Stay safe and strong, my friends, and I hope we all meet again.

Regards

Nipper
