The Adelaide Get-Together was another resounding success with 20 TELSTECHs and 4 partners attending.
Topics discussed were:
• Historical successful events included the past Annual Reunions in Brisbane in late May each year.
• Past successful Get-Togethers in Perth, Werribee, Canberra, and Adelaide.
• Future events include continued Annual Reunions and proposed Get-Togethers. Such as Newcastle in 2027, and a Triple Header in May 2027. The Triple Header will comprise of the Annual Reunion (Fri eve), Djinnang (Sat arvo), and Family BBQ on Bribie Island (Sun lunch) on 28th, 29 th, and 30 th May 27.
• Life Membership can be caried forward to a partner upon the demise of a TELSTECH who was a Life Member.
• All veterans (who served one day in uniform) are entitled to at least a DVA White Card. The DVA Claims process has changed. So get yourself an Advocate. Existing DVA claims are unaffected, rejected claims are being reviewed, and unclaimed issues can now be submitted.
• RIP Mick Armstrong. Plus, Bear Kerr passed on 08 Feb 26.
• Team photo can be viewed on the website.
• Some stubby wraps are still available at $6 each.
• Due to the reduction in numbers of living TELSTECHs, the payment of memberships fees has become increasingly important. Function costs to members should remain at zero.

The next event will be the Annual TELSTECH Reunion, to be held at the Paddo in Brisbane on Friday, 29 May 26 at 1830. This will be followed by the Djinnang Association Reunion on the Sat arvo, also, at the Paddo. Regards
